TotalEnergies is committed to the development of electric mobility on a large scale, with over 70,000 charge points currently in operation and targeting 150,000 by 2026. We invest significantly in charging infrastructure to make electric vehicle charging accessible to everyone.
We design and develop mobility solutions that give our customers complete peace of mind while traveling. Our fast-charging network includes 300 EV charging hubs on highways and key traffic locations, with plans to reach 1,000 sites by 2028 across Europe. TotalEnergies covers the entire electric mobility value chain, from renewable electricity production to charging service operations.
TotalEnergies EV charging in the UK
TotalEnergies acquired Source London in 2021, with significant investments in the installation of new charge points and strengthening the infrastructure, supporting more sustainable mobility.
While working hard to improve the reliability of the network, TotalEnergies is also expanding its presence outside of London to support the uptake of electric vehicles across the UK.
In 2024, TotalEnergies activated AC and DC charge points in Birmingham delivering up to 150kW.
Today, over 2,700 charge points are now available across the UK. With the ban on petrol and diesel vehicles rushing in in less than a decade, we continue to work towards the same goal: supporting the EV revolution.
Roaming partners
TotalEnergies is working with a growing number of roaming partners, opening access to its extensive network to an even larger number of EV drivers. The full list of e-mobility solution providers that we welcome is available here.
Local Authorities
TotalEnergies has been working with Local Authorities for many years to deliver and safely operate the right equipment at the right locations, with limited cost to Local Authorities. Our collaborations facilitate open discussions between TotalEnergies and the Local Authorities to accelerate the transition towards cleaner mobility in the UK.
100% of the cost of installation, operation, and maintenance of the charge points on our network is covered by TotalEnergies.
TotalEnergies charge points generate revenue for the Local Authority in which they are installed, eliminating the burden of risk, ownership, and upkeep for Local Authorities in order to directly benefit residents.
Terms & conditions
(1) Pay As You Go
A minimum fee of 2.5kWh is applicable for all invoiced charging sessions.
Charging sessions which last less than 3 minutes and have less than 0.5kWh delivered are automatically cancelled.
1 London charge points only: You will be charged by kWh delivered while your vehicle is charging. When your vehicle receives little or no energy during a 10 minute period, an email is issued to you to inform you that idle fees may apply. Please note that energy fees continue to apply at all times.
PAYG standard idle fees: 5p/min
PAYG idle fees in the Central London Surcharge zone (Camden, K&C and Westminster): 6p/min
Birmingham charge points only : An additional parking fee of £ 0.017/min will apply at all times. This parking fee is directly passed through to the site landlord.

(2) Individual offers
A minimum fee of 2.5kWh is applicable for all invoiced charging sessions.
Charging sessions which last less than 3 minutes and have less than 0.5kWh delivered are automatically cancelled.
1 If you have a valid resident parking permit, you are entitled to an exclusive discount when charging at local stations in the neighbourhood for which you hold a valid parking permit.
2 London charge points only: You will be charged by kWh delivered while your vehicle is charging. When your vehicle receives little or no energy during a 10 minute period, an email is issued to you to inform you that idle fees may apply. Idle fees do not apply from 12am(midnight) to 7am for registered Source London Members. Please note that energy fees continue to apply at all times.
Full and Resident subscription standard idle fees: 4p/min
Full, Resident and Pro Resident subscription idle fees in the Central London Surcharge zone (Camden, K&C and Westminster): 5p/min
Birmingham charge points only: An additional parking fee of £ 0.017/min will apply at all times. This parking fee is directly passed through to the site landlord.

A minimum fee of 2.5kWh is applicable for all invoiced charging sessions.
Charging sessions which last less than 3 minutes and have less than 0.5kWh delivered are automatically cancelled.
1 Subject to change at any time. Source London will endeavour to notify customers 7 days in advance of any changes.
2 Welcom offer may be withdrawn at any time.
3 London charge points only : You will be charged by kWh delivered while your vehicle is charging.
